Maury

France - Languedoc-Roussillon

Les Vignerons de Maury refers to a cooperative winery located in the village of Maury, in the Roussillon wine region of southern France. Founded in 1910, Les Vignerons de Maury has played a key role in the local winemaking industry, helping to preserve traditional methods while also embracing modern techniques. The cooperative brings together numerous local winegrowers, allowing them to pool their resources and expertise to create high-quality wines. Their range includes both Vin Doux Naturel (sweet fortified wines) and dry wines, which showcase the distinctive terroir of the region, characterized by its rugged landscape, hot Mediterranean climate, and unique soils.

The area is renowned for its production of Maury wines, particularly sweet fortified wines, often made from Grenache grapes. Maury wines are known for their deep flavors of ripe black fruits, spices, and cocoa, along with a rich, sweet texture.
