Meyney

France - Bordeaux 

Château Meyney is an estate in Saint-Estèphe. Formed as an ecclesiastical vineyard in 1662, it is one of the oldest estates in the Médoc, although its modern history began in 1917 when it was acquired by the Cordier family.

The vineyard is contained in a single 51 hectare site, which is unusual for an estate of this size. It is planted with around 60 percent Cabernet Sauvignon, 30 percent Merlot and ten percent Petit Verdot with the typical Meyney blend reflecting these proportions.

The estate was bought in 2004 by Crédit Agricole Grands Crus, whose other properties including Grand-Puy Ducasse in Pauillac and Château de Rayne Vigneau in Sauternes.
