Critics Ratings
‘An intensely yeast-suffused nose displays aromas of cool apple, lemongrass and a discreet wisp of spice. There is really lovely intensity to the complex, delineated and crisp middle weight flavors that are shaped by a relatively fine effervescence on the impressively persistent finish. This is a really lovely effort that is drinking reasonable well now but even so, it seems apparent that more depth will develop if it is allowed a few more years of bottle age. Drink: 2019+.’ - Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, 93/100 (Oct 2017)
‘A very bright, fragrant and expressive nose that has a superb sense of clarity plus bright lemon and green apple aromas on offer with plenty of chalk too; really fine and lively. The palate rolls out some richer, sweeter lemon and apple flavors. The acidity holds crisp and sails you through the finish that's long, even and balanced. Ready now, it will improve for up to five years.’ - James Suckling, 93/100 (Jul 2015)
‘Lassalle's 2007 Brut Special Club 1er Cru is bright, energetic and finely cut, with plenty of citrus and floral notes. Medium-bodied and light on its feet, the 2007 is a terrific choice for readers who favor clean, crisp Champagnes. I would prefer to drink the 2007 as an aperitif or alongside lighter foods. Disgorged: September 2015. Dosage is 8-9 grams per liter.’ - Antonio Galloni, Vinous, 92/100 (Nov 2017)
