About this Item

2002 Comtesse Marie de France Brut Millésime Grand Cru
2 (1 x 2) 750ml

Champagne Paul Bara is located in the village of Bouzy, in the Montagne de Reims region. Wines are made from 11 hectares of vineyards (from mostly Grand Cru villages) and sold under the label since the 1950’s. Current owner Chantale, daughter of Paul Bara, ensures the continued traditions passed down by her father. The wines are by hand with low-yielding vines and good maturity ensured by prolonged bottle ageing. A close connection to the vineyard environment and biodiversity has always been a priority.

Disgorged 6 February 2014.

Critics Ratings

‘Lots of race and sinew. Big mouthful. Quite sweet but still very youthful and chewy.’ - Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com, 16.5/20 (May 2015)
