Peter Lehmann Stonewell Shiraz 2000
‘Made from low yielding Shiraz vines in the Stonewell, Kalimna, Koonunga, Ebenezer and Greenock districts of the Barossa Valley this wine is fermented and then matured for 18 months in a mixture of new French (73%) and American (27%) oak. Deep, dense, black in colour this wine is starting to show some maturity. The nose is incredibly savoury with just a hint of liquorice. The palate shows blackcurrant fruit above all others. A hint of mint and a touch of oak finish the equation. Very nice indeed.’ - Cellartracker, 90/100 (Nov 2006)
Peter Lehmann Eight Songs Shiraz 2000
‘Dark, dense and powerful, juicy with ripe cherry, blackberry and tar flavors, hinting at exotic spice as the flavors persist on the muscular finish.’ - Harvey Steiman, Wine Spectator, 92/100 (Dec 2004)
‘Medium ruby. Bitter cherry, boysenberry, cassis, licorice and vanillin oak spice on the nose. Thick, velvety and suave, with spicy flavours of cherry, plum, fruit cake and mocha. The supple, gently tannic finish emphasizes sweet dark berry, roasted coffee and oak spice flavours.’ - Josh Raynolds, Vinous, 90/100 (Jul 2005)
Peter Lehmann Mentor 2000
‘Medium-bodied; sweet, spicy cedary oak inputs on supple black fruits and a touch of warm chocolate; 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Malbec, 5% Merlot. Top result.’ - James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion 2006, 93/100
