Critics Ratings
‘Bold, intensely expressive 2015 gushes with aromas and nuances: tarry tobacco blended with maraschino cherries, roasted meat, plums and prunes, all borne on a robust tannin backbone. Approachable, but so much better in 6-10 years.’ - Platter’s SA Wine Guide 2019, 5* (95/100)
‘Big, bold, ripe and packed with intense fig and blackberry flavours, this is aimed squarely at a certain sector of the American market. It’s a plush, oaky, full-bodied style that has good underlying structure and plenty of perfume. 2019-25.’ - Tim Atkin SA Special Report 2018, 93/100
‘A fresh, focused style, with red currant and damson plum fruit flavors lined with subtle sanguine, iron and savory notes. A nice tight-grained structure holds the finish. Let this unwind with a bit of cellaring. Best from 2020 through 2025.’ - James Molesworth, Wine Spectator, 92/100 (Feb 2019)
