Critics Ratings
'As its name suggest, this is a stony site planted on so-called 'koffieklip' and tends to produce more austere wines than its cheaper stable mate, The Stork. Violet-scented, with spice and blackberry fruit and a hint of iron-like grip complemented by well-integrated oak. Definitely a wine that rewards cellaring. Drink 2017-24.' - Tim Atkin MW, SA Special Report 2016, 94/100
'Complexity & purity define 2011 from gravelly terroir. Silky smooth & elegant but muscular, with rich black fruit, spice, ink & even cocoa nuances. Layered, refined; will age well.' - Platter's SA Wine Guide, 4.5*
