‘On a different register, this has a deep, furry earthiness, smelling of warm burrows and brambles. It’s generous, intense in fruit, and deeply tannic. The alcohol is high. Described as Shiraz, it has that concentration, but teamed with the savouriness of more classical Syrah, almost like a robust, hot-vintage Cornas. Has an incredible, growling potency to age further.
