octagonal, the centre painted with a phoenix and its mate before a spray of peonies and lilies, the cavetto with spear-and-cell diaper border, the rim painted with a continuous band of flowers and Buddhist emblems, sienna-glazed rim, 36cm wide; and another, the centre painted with pavilions, boat houses and a pair of figures on a bridge, the cavetto with spear-and-cell diaper border, the rim with cell-and-blue diaper bands, chips, 32,5cm wide
