Critics Ratings
‘Graceful elegance, packed with mint-laced dark chocolate, hinting of meat, blackcurrant, fine structural support. Some green-edged notes, but otherwise nicely balanced & dry. French oak, 50% new for 22 months.’ - Platter’s SA Wine Guide 2007, 4.5*
‘A rich, stately nose announces the elegance of this Merlot from the consistently poised Vergelegen. Balanced flavors of berry and spice and smooth, subtle tannins give the wine additional class. Drinkable now, but the wine could easily age.’ - Susan Kostrzewa, Wine Enthusiast, (Jun 2008)
