About this Item
Château Latour à Pomerol draws its name from the tower that adorns its charming château. In 1917, it was acquired by Madame Loubat – the owner of Château Petrus – and, since the 60s, has been farmed by local wine merchant and visionary, Jean-Pierre Moueix. Characterised by its diverse soils, the vineyard receives the same care given to all the J.P. Moueix properties and, as a result, the estate’s wines offer both complexity and harmony. Known for producing generous, concentrated wines, Château Latour à Pomerol cuvées strike a perfect balance between elegance and power.

Critics Ratings
‘Aromas of sweet fruit and chocolate follow through to a medium body, with fine tannins and a fresh finish. Very balanced, yet there's a solid core of fruit underneath. Best after 2008.’ - James Suckling, Wine Spectator, 90/100 (Mar 2007)
‘A big, dry wine, firm, and not offering much fruit at this stage. It is obviously concentrated, and as it evolves, the fruit will develop richness. This small, 20-acre property is mainly situated on gravel soils next to Pomerol church, at the heart of the appellation.’ - Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast, 91/100 (Jun 2007)
