A Victorian silver-plate-mounted glass claret jug
cylindrical, with bulbous body and star-cut base, the mount embossed and chased with two masks of Bacchus surrounded by fruiting vines, leaf-capped handle, the hinged cover similarly decorated, surmounted by a rampant lion supporting a vacant shield, 27cm high; and a 20th century example, tapering cylindrical, the cut-glass body with star-cut base, 26cm high
