Notes

Dylan Lewis is a South African artist who has emerged as one of the foremost figures of contemporary representational sculpture in his home country. Lewis has focused chiefly on the cat as his subject and has created one of the most unrivalled sculptural portfolios of animal sculpture to come out of Africa. He has extended his artistic talents to the human form, especially its relationship with nature, and has had equal success as with his animals.

Last year saw Lewis further cement his relationship with the London auction house, Christie's, with his Untamed exhibition in Berkley Square. This is his third major showing in association with Christie's, and Lewis joins a handful of contemporary artists upon whom this accolade has been bestowed.
