About this Item
In 1962, Ridge made its first Monte Bello, and two years later its first zinfandel. Since that time, Ridge has championed single-vineyard winemaking, searching California for those rare and exceptional vineyards where climate, soil, and variety are ideally matched. For more than six decades, Ridge has been recognized by top critics, chefs and peers for consistent quality and steadfast approach to winemaking. Ridge is the largest farmer of organically certified grapes in Sonoma County and the Santa Cruz Mountains Appellation.
Ridge Vineyards' Lytton Springs is another highly acclaimed wine, celebrated for its expression of Sonoma County's unique terroir and its consistent quality. This wine is a Zinfandel-based field blend, sourced from the historic Lytton Springs Vineyard in the Dry Creek Valley of Sonoma County.

Critics Ratings
‘Another stunning wine (like the 1997 Geyserville). Strawberry, super-ripe (bit not overripe) nose. Just slightly dry tannins for the moment but this has fabulous and sumptuous richness. Very complete wine by any measure.’ - Jancis Robinson, jancisrobinson.com, 19/20 (Mar 2010)
‘Smooth, rich and polished, with a pretty array of black cherry, blackberry, raspberry and plum. Elegant, fruity aftertaste. ’ - James Laube, Wine Spectator
