About this Item

2013 Caveau de Bacchus Cuvée des Géologues
3 (1 x 3) 750ml

Lucien Aviet & Fils is a respected winery located in the Jura region of eastern France, known for producing distinctive wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region. One of their notable wines is the Trousseau, a red grape variety indigenous to the Jura.

The style is traditional. Old vines, ploughed soils, low yields, and long patient ageing of wines in old foudres.

The Geologues bottling comes from two south-facing vineyards in Montignyles Arsures with a similar terroir of gravel soil with clay and flint. The Trousseau vines range from 10 to 60 years in age.
