‘The 2013 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru has a well defined and quite earthy bouquet, plenty of sous-bois character here, gently unfolding in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe red cherry and crushed strawberry fruit, fine tannins and a harmonious, caressing finish that demonstrates assiduous use of new oak. There is fine richness and volume to the delicious, intense and muscular broad-shouldered flavors that possess very fine depth on the balanced and lingering finish where the supporting tannins are dense but fine.
