About this Item
Domaine Dujac was established in 1967 by Jacques Seysses when he purchased Domaine Marcel Graillet, a poor estate of only 4.5 hectares, and renamed it Domaine du Jacques. Overtime, the name evolved into Domaine Dujac – a playful moniker. Today, they hold around 14.5 hectares and cultivate 18.5 hectares in total. Buying parcels as they became available, the domaine expanded over the years and now owns some of the most exceptional holdings, including the Grands Crus of Echézeaux, Bonnes-Mares, Clos Saint Denis, Romanée-Saint-Vivant, Charmes-Chambertin and Clos de la Roche. Aiming for elegance, finesse and complexity, the quality of their seven Grands Crus is a testament to the domaine being one of the Burgundy’s leading producers.

Critics Ratings
‘Pale to mid ruby. Colourless rim. A very slight edge of decay on the nose. Sweet and edgy. Not quite as composed and integrated as the 2003 grands crus from Rousseau and Mugnier in this line-up. Something a tad green about this (whole bunch?) but not to be sniffed at if offered! A note of orange again.’ - Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com, 17/20 (Nov 2019)
'Medium bright, deep red. Highly nuanced nose combines red fruits, minerals and flowers. Silky-sweet, thick and sappy, with outstanding richness and volume; this has fruit of steel. A perfect example of a 2003 that's superripe without being cooked. One to buy and to cellar.' - Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, 93/100 (Mar 2006)
'A relatively high-toned and perfumed nose of ripe cherries and pronounced ripe soil notes lead to wonderfully detailed full-bodied and mineral-laden flavors brimming with pinot extract and a touch of reduction on the backend. There is outstanding intensity here and an exceptionally long and lingering finish but what sets this apart is the superb overall balance. A terrific wine in an absolute sense and while it is atypical, it's a more than satisfactory effort.’ - Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, 91/100 (Jan 2006)
