About this Item
Domaine Jacques Prieur is a relatively large Burgundy producer that makes both Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from esteemed vineyard holdings across the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune. The history of the domaine began in the 1860s, with the marriage of Claude Duvergey and Marie Taboureau. They first established the wine and spirits merchant business, Duvergey-Taboureau House, before buying property in Meursault – now the site of the modern Jacques Priuer daomine. Beginning in the late 1800s and continuing into the 20th Century, the family began investing in viticulture and purchasing vineyards, establishing vines in what have become some of the most sought after appellations in the Côte d'Or.
The 1995 Domaine Jacques Prieur Corton-Bressandes is a Grand Cru Burgundy wine from the Corton-Bressandes vineyard, which is located in the Côte de Beaune subregion of Burgundy, France. Domaine Jacques Prieur is renowned for producing high-quality wines, and the Corton-Bressandes vineyard is known for its rich and powerful red wines made from Pinot Noir grapes.
