About this Item
Founded in 1981, Frog's Leap is a leading wine estate based in Rutherford in the Napa Valley. It is particularly known for its Cabernet Sauvignon and also produces one of California's top-rated and most serious Sauvignon Blanc wines.
There are 16 hectares of vines on the estate property, plus 21 hectares at the Rossi Estate on the Rutherford Bench. Frog's Leap also sources grapes from several leased plots and long-term contracted vineyards. All the vineyards owned by the estate and the partner growers have been farmed organically since the late 1980s, and many aspects of biodynamics are implemented. Cover crops and insect borders are used to encourage biodiversity.
