Named after the proprietors the De Wet family, De Wetshof has been synonymous with the production of fine wines since the 1970’s and was the first registered wine estate in the Robertson Wine Valley. One of the pioneers in introducing Chardonnay to SA, they have now become renowned for their Chardonnay abroad.
This is a multi-dimensional wine distinguished by a remarkable complexity of flavours derived from the fine quality of grapes and good wood. The vineyards were established in 1986 and have produced Chardonnay grapes of exceptional quality year after year due to their perfect location. 'The Site' Vineyard is a specific selection of Chardonnay imported from Burgundy, the size of the vineyard is 2,55 hectares and lies on a slope.
