About this Item
Graham Beck, founded in 1983 and situated in the Breede River Valley, is one of South Africa's leading estates. Pieter Ferreira, who's affectionately known as Bubbles (because of his passion for Méthode Cap Classique and Champagne), has been the driving force at Graham Beck since 1990. They were one of the first farms to be awarded WWF Conservation Champion Status and have undertaken a number of environmental and philanthropic initiatives.
Producer notes: The Graham Beck Cuvée Clive represents the very apex of our artistic inspiration and creative endeavours in the pursuit of the perfect bubble. This extraordinary bubbly showcases the deftness of our craft, the depth of our passion and the commitment we have towards continuously raising the bar in terms of outstanding quality. Elegance, finesse and complexity are hallmarks of a truly distinguished prestige cuvée – Cuvée Clive is all this and much more. A blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, this Brut is produced only in exceptional vintages and in extremely limited quantities.

Critics Ratings
'100% Robertson chardonnay for the superb flagship sparkler, always showing presence & poise; 2012 dry, with intense citrus & buttered toast palate from 5 years lees ageing. The mousse is velvety, mouthfilling & never-ending. For really special occasions.' - Platter's SA Wine Guide 2019, 4.5* (94/100)
'The latest in a run of brilliant Cuvée Clives, this is made only with lightly wooded Chardonnay from Robertson for the first time, proving Pieter Ferreira’s point that there is “no recipe” for this icon bubbly. Still tight, despite its five years on lees, this is savoury, yeasty and complex with a spine of bracing acidity. 2019-26' - Tim Atkin MW, SA Special Report 2018, 95/100
