Dominique Lafon is firstly known for his Domaine des Comtes Lafon in Meursault, and now owns the Domaine des Héritiers du Comte Lafon in Milly Lamartine, in the Mâcon region, where he has introduced organic and biodynamic farming. In the cellar, the vinification is traditional and parcel-based. The wines produced correspond to the primary ambition of his adventure, that of reflecting the expression of each terroir with the aim of raising the white wines of southern Burgundy to the top.

'The 2015 Macon Chardonnay Clos de la Crochette has an enticing bouquet with hints of almond and walnut infusing the citrus fruit, nicely defined with good lift, quite generous compared to others. The palate is well balanced, a little more rounded in texture, with fresh citrus lemon and lime on the entry, It comes across as being quite saline toward the finish that feels lilting and nonchalant, so I recommend enjoying this over the next six or seven years.' - Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, 90/100 (Aug 2017)

'Pale, bright yellow. Orange zest and brown spices on the perfumed nose. A silky, dense fruit bomb with a light touch. Wonderfully lively stone fruit and spice flavors carry through a dry, long finish.
