An Italian silver electroplated 'Piazza' coffee service designed by Oscar Tusquets for Alessi, 1984
comprising: a coffee pot, a milk jug, covered sugar bowl and tray, each of abstract outline, the side incorporating a hook-shaped handle, the sugar bowl with pincered tri-form glass cover, the tray with three-quarter moulded gallery engraved with geometric pattern, the coffee pot handle with distress, dent, the tray 52cm wide

Notes
This silver plated teapot was designed by Oscar Tusquets in 1983 for the "Tea & Coffee Piazza" project from Alessandro Mendini, started in 1979. 11 artists designed for this project. The designs were manufactured by handcraft techniques in an edition of 99 copies in 925/1000 silver. From 1984 the service by Oscar Tusquets was also available in a silver plated version.
