Chris Keet was winemaker and viticulturist of the iconic Cordoba winery since its inception for 15 years, establishing a cult status for these Cabernet Franc driven blends that have already shown their popularity on previous Strauss fine wine auctions. Chris embarked on a three-month sabbatical after Cordoba closed production, and then he established Keet Wines. From the onset, with the release of the 2009 vintage, the return of the Keet winemaking signature was welcomed by the industry with critical acclaim.
His maiden release was a blend of 32% Cabernet Franc, 26% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Malbec and 10% Petit Verdot. One critic referred to it as, ‘Earth’s poetry in a bottle’ due to its elegant style, reminiscent of the icon Cordoba wines.

'If you look hard enough, there’s a hint of herbaceousness and there’s also a little oak-derived vanilla, both of which serve to add to the wine’s complexity.
