As the flagship red states, Rust en Vrede dates back to 1694 and is today owned by Jean Engelbrecht. The fine Helderberg terroir produces concentrated and highly celebrated reds. The 1694 is a luxurious, powerful blend of Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon and is made in miniscule quantities.
