About this Item

2003 CWG Auction Reserve
6 (1 x 6) 750ml

With vast experience at Morgenhof and Buitenverwachting, Jean Daneel established his own label and then a cellar in the town of Napier. Napier, serving as the northern entry point to the Cape Agulhas region, is home to JD Daneel Wines & Bistro, a family business. Nestled at the foot of the Soetmuisberg, between colorful farmland, lies the quaint town of Napier. This picturesque Overberg village with its rural atmosphere, serves as the northern entry point to the Cape Agulhas region.

The 2003 Auction Reserve 2003 was made just prior to the purchase of his farm and was made exclusively for the 2006 Cape Winemakers Guild auction. It is richly-fruited, powerful 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot blend from the fine 2003 vintage.
